Hello dress fans! I’ve been a bit Caroline Slack with the old Double Thumbs of late but I couldn’t let Christmas go by without digging them out for a bit of festive fun. So, without further ado, I present to you the seasonal numbers that we consider worthy of the highly coveted Double Thumbs seal of approval. No turkeys here!

I don’t think it’s possible to find a more Christmas appropriate dress than this red organza frock from ASOS. It’s ho ho oh so shiny and if that one bow on the front isn’t jingling your bells then there are THREE more on the back. OF COURSE THERE ARE! Pass the mulled wine over because I am DONE.

Perhaps a slightly more sensible seasonal option might be this darling floral jacquard dress from Topshop. It’s a lovely print and shape and we all know I am a sucker for a good collar.

This lovely floaty number is from Jack Wills who, despite being kept busy outfitting every student in Bristol, always seem to have a great range of party dresses! I really like how this one could easily be dressed up or down and the chiffon detailing is super pretty.
New Look have got it wrapped up this season and this gorgeous embellished skater dress is the glacé cherry on top the Christmas cake! What a gem.

Now THAT is a cracker of a collar. This Zara dress is ticking all of the yuletide boxes with its festive colour, full skirt and pleasing pricetag. I also enjoy how their model has taken up my usual party stance. Perhaps she is hiding a big bow under there? We can dream.

You’d have to be a real cotton-headed ninnymuggins not to love this full on glittery dress from Warehouse. You might need to watch the video over on their website to get the true dazzling effect but goodness me what a frock!

You’ll be easy to spot on the dance floor in this polka-dot print prom dress from Pepperberry (easy for you to say). This is such a great shape and those metallic blue spots are excellent!

Yep, you’ve not been on the brandy butter, this sequin showstopper of a dress is actually from Tesco! With mesh sleeves and all over sparkle, this one would see you dancing right into the New Year.

Chanel your inner princess in this super pretty sage chiffon dress from Lindy Bop. I just want to twirl around in it! Is that really so much to ask?

Last but not least, this woven fabric Chi Chi London dress from ASOS is a bit of a stunner isn’t it? The neckline is especially pretty and that blue is the perfect winter hue. It’s also available in pink (with a longer sleeve) for a few pounds extra.
Have a lovely Christmas everyone!
