Hello hello! Welcome back to Double Thumbs Dresses, our roundup of the frocks we have deemed worthy of the highly coveted double thumbs seal of approval! Let’s crack on….

BAM! Let’s brighten up this miserable weather with some colourful Boden beauties shall we? It’s supposed to be Spring now after all! WAKE UP, WEATHER. Those luscious yellow stripes will certainty do the trick and those big bold spots are so super cute. Boden always do such lovely frocks for Spring/Summer and I am really digging the shape of both of these dresses. The silky sateen material of the Mara makes it ideal for dressing up or down and I adore the ruffle detail on the Molly.

Good news for people who like cloud print dresses (hi there) because Sugarhill Boutique have been doing some blue sky thinking and have come up with this pastel perfection of a frock. Isn’t it gorgeous? Pretty excited that it’s described as having a ‘waffle texture’ because a) no ironing b) stretchy c) I really like waffles.

Of course my waffle days will be a distant memory if I plan on wearing this ASOS dress anytime soon! I’m not usually one for exposing my middle but there’s something about that pretty lace insert that makes me love this dress. It’s so sweet.

This might be due to my weird obsession with the film Gnomeo and Juliet (which I have definitely watched more times than the average human) or my lifelong love of Harold Bishop and Lou Carpenter (they had quite the Gnome war in 1998) , but I am over the moon about this Cath Kidston print. Look at their little red hats!

How fun is this cactus dress from Miss Patina? They always have such fabulous prints! I am loving the yellow giant yellow bow too! You really can’t go wrong with a giant yellow bow I find.

I’ve been swooning over this Mango dress for a couple of weeks now and desperately trying to justify spending the money on it. Those pleats are perfection! And the big flared sleeves! SO much waft. And who doesn’t love a bit of dip dye?
