Hello and welcome to the 39th Accessories to Murder. This week, I’ve found myself searching high and low for fun maternity clothes that can loosely be termed accessories! So be warned dear reader, the list I’ve put together is mostly bits and bobs I like that aren’t dresses. But fear not, we are saving those beauties for Double Thumbs Dresses!
Right, without further ado, here’s a lovely list of all the things that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted. Check out the archives here!
Hello and welcome to the 38th Accessories to Murder. We’re taking a slightly different direction this week, as I’ve been on the hunt for cute baby clothes for my number one future accessory (just kidding!). My little one is due in January, so it’s high time I started looking for clothes so that the little bundle of joy/poop will actually have something to wear.
We’re not finding out if they’re a boy or a girl, so please expect a few gender neutral gems over the coming weeks. Right, without further ado, here’s a lovely list of all the things that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted!

Hello and welcome to the 36th Accessories to Murder. Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories? Excellent! Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
We start with a terrific twosome from Topshop. Both the Game Over bag and Mermaid Bag are made by Skinnydip and are a heck of a lot of fun. Being a lady of a certain vintage, I remember loving playing on my GameBoy when I was growing up, so I’m a big fan of the first bag. The second is dedicated to all of our aquatically minded followers, and I know we have a good few! What a catch.
It’s finally bright enough to wear sunglasses out without looking a bit odd. That’s never stopped us here at She and Hem, but hooray for the sun, and let’s hope it lasts! I spotted these whilst browsing the Zara website and while they aren’t as colourful as the sunglasses we usually feature, they look chic without being too sensible.
I’m really excited to have spotted this fab satchel from La Redoute, which also comes in a wonderful yellow version. I usually go straight for anything that comes in yellow, but I’m a big fan of the grey and pale blue combo on this beauty. It looks a lot like the more expensive brands, but comes in at about half the price at £35! Thanks La Redoute!
I haven’t featured anything from Modcloth in a while, so this week they are back with a bang with this incredible chevron swimming costume. It’s so pretty! The yellow piping looks so flattering, especially around the waist. Gosh, if I was going on a summer holiday this year, this would go straight into my basket.
Keep the doctor away with this fruity little number. Whether you have a fancy dress party coming up or you just love novelty bags, this apple bag from Primark is a right old bargain. This is the first time I’ve featured anything from Primark on Accessories to Murder because I have to admit, I do struggle with their website! Does anyone else feel a bit frustrated with it?
That’s all for now folks. Until next week, keep accessorising!
Hello and welcome to the 35th Accessories to Murder. This time, we’ve got a shoe special for you, featuring a cheeky La Redoute voucher code! Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories? Excellent! Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
I do have a naughty habit of regularly including ASOS items on Accessories to Murder, but I just can’t help it because they always have such great items in their ‘New In‘ section. Always. It’s definitely the first place I look when I’m on the hunt for something and nine times out of ten, I find it! I could fill a whole post with ASOS shoes, but I’ve managed to pick my current top 3 and I am in love with them all equally. Which pair are your favourites?
I know what you are thinking, £7.50 is an incredible price for these cute cat pumps. WELL, do I have some good news for you. They currently have an extra 10% off when you enter the voucher code EXTRA10 at the checkout. The bad news is, they only have sizes 3.5 to 6 available. Although my own feet are only one size down from “Clown”, I know quite a few people who love cats and will fit into these smaller sizes (I’m looking at you Ellie and Gina) and if they don’t buy them I will be shocked and appalled and may have to reconsider our friendship. Meow!
If you are looking for a slightly more subtle pink than the ASOS pair above, put your best foot forward and take a look at these rounded toe tassel front beauties from New Look. I do love a good loafer! Also available in a jolly nice pale blue and a sensible black.
These pretty Patti flats *may* just be on their way to me right now. I can’t deny, if it’s yellow and from Boden, I just have to have it (evidenced here, here and everywhere!). They look so chic, comfy and the perfect colour for Summer. Expect to see them in an outfit post very soon!
Hello and welcome to the 34th Accessories to Murder! Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories? Excellent! Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
Yeah, this shirt is not technically an accessory but does anyone mind when it’s got pretty mermaids on? No they do not. The coral and aqua mermaid print was hand drawn in Sugarhill Boutique’s Brighton studio, so it’s pretty unique too!
Bad news guys. I have lost my beloved Boden sunglasses. I had this pair until very recently, but now I can’t find them anywhere. It’s a real tragedy, as I wore them alllll the time, even in the rain. I think I’d like to replace them with this pair of rounded frames, but am struggling to decide between pastel pink or the more neutral tortoiseshell. Let me know your thoughts!
The top bag from Skinnydip London is da bomb, and the flying saucer UFO bag is out of this world! Both bags have adjustable straps or can be worn as clutches, bonus! Skinnydip are my go to place for novelty bags, as they are always so fun without any astronomical prices. Head over to Thunder Egg and make some space for them in your collection.
Now this is a bit of alright. A cute boxy cross body bag, with lots of easy on the eye floral embellishments. I think that it will go with almost anything, is spacious and sturdy enough for general use and pretty enough to take from day to night. Jolly good, keep it up Topshop!
This striking jacket has been around for a while, but it’s just too perfect not to feature. If yellow is not your thing, it also comes in a slightly more subtle light blue. Both are delightful. I’ve seen it on a couple of bloggers recently and it looks really great on. I’m very tempted indeed!
Hello and welcome to the 33rd Accessories to Murder! It’s sale time! Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories? Excellent! Even better, today is a sale special, and who doesn’t love a cheeky Summer sale? Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
This Bee bag has created quite a buzz in the fashion world, fashionistas have been swarming to their local Kate Spade stores to pick one up. Good things come to those who wait and this smiley chap is now in the sale via Norstrom. FYI, the ‘Beehive – Oh Honey‘ bag is also reduced. Which do you prefer?
Our BFF and guest blogger Ellie has the top pair of floral Cath Kidston trainers and every time she wears them, she receives so many compliments everywhere she goes! I absolutely loved the cloud print pair that came out at the same time, but they sold out straight away and have never come back into stock. Luckily, these two pairs are back and in the sale, so jog on over there to add these to your kit bag.
Mums know best, and both of ours have always told us that Radley are pretty special. There are tons of bags in the sale at the moment and it took me quite a while to whittle it down to my two favourites. We are both big fans of anything that features a swimmer print here at She and Hem so I just had to include the gorgeous Lido Zip Tote. It wasn’t until I’d been swooning over it for about 10 minutes that I realised it actually features synchronized swimming dogs! Woof! The monochrome backpack is designed by Jonathan Saunders and is as versatile as it is jazzy.
I thought it was my fashion duty to find you dear readers a cheaper alternative to the Kate Spade straw hat from last week, which was a mighty £105, and boy did I manage to find one. This H&M straw hat is an absolutely steal at £3.99. What are you wheat-ing for? Snap it up before they raise the price tag!
These colourful Ted Baker houses remind me of Bristol, so I’m obviously a big fan of this phone case. The pastel colours are striking and pretty, without being too garish. Embrace your inner architect and treat your phone to this little gem today!
Hello and welcome to the 32nd Accessories to Murder! Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories? Excellent, otherwise you would miss all things Vans X Nintendo! Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
When life gave them lemons, Accessorize have given us this excellent novelty bag. This is mine and Beyonce’s current favourite, mainly because of that 3D straw. Too cute! I haven’t managed to get my hands on one yet, but I’m not bitter, because I’m still obsessed with my vintage radio bag.
You might be able to spot that I went a bit shoe mad whilst browsing ASOS. These crushed velvet heels are so pretty and have a really sensible sized block heel and, let’s be honest, I’m a pretty sensible gal. You won’t catch me in no skyscrapers, oh no. I love everything about them, especially the round toe and the bow. Beautiful!
Two pairs of velvet shoes in one Accessories to Murder? Are you mad Victoria? Heck no! Could I really leave these out? They have a ribbon, and conform to the golden rule of fashion; pretty > waterproof. I feel like I need these to take the first steps in my Darcy Bussell makeover. So on pointe.
It’s not often that I hear about a brand collaboration from my husband, but he was all over the new Vans range with Nintendo. It’s all pretty great, and I expect the range to mushroom in popularity, but the Princess Peach trainers are my pick of the bunch and a must have item for all of our Princess readers (i.e everyone!). Peachy. No PUNintendo.
I’ve only just spotted this print from Cath Kidston and it really floats my boat. Not only is it colourful and fun, but it’s just gone into the sale which is a mega bonus. They have a messenger bag too, also in the sale, and also awesome. One thing though Cath, can we PLEASE have this print on a dress? Thanks.
What’s better than a giant inflatable swan? A GOLD giant inflatable swan of course! I want to buy one in every colour and invite all my pals down to the lido for a swan race. Swan goals for sure. I’ve never bought anything from Nordstrom before, so I’d love to hear your thoughts on them.
That’s it for this week. Until next time, keep accessorising!
Hello and welcome to the 31st Accessories to Murder! Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories featuring not one but two awesome Lazy Oaf goodies? Excellent. Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
I recently spotted these fun patches and thought that somebody a lot more crafty than I could create something quite wonderful with them. A lot like the fab dress above. They would look so great with the dress of the moment, this denim beauty from Zara. Are you a fan of patches? If so, send me a picture of something you have created!
Lazy Oaf have got novelty in the bag right now with these two incredible pieces. They are just so fun. Only a real Muppet wouldn’t love this Miss Piggy shoulder bag. The Killing It clutch reminds me of being in Lisbon, swooning over all of the colorful sardine tins in local stores. Those are a lot prettier than they sound, I promise!
Well, ahoy there! Hot on Lazy Oaf’s heels for the best novelty bag crown is ASOS. Here’s their catch of the day for all our mermaid readers, of which we have a surprising amount! There’s nothing fishy about this fetching clutch bag, and at £25, you’re not shelling out so much that your bank balance will get into a boatload of trouble!
Something else ASOS are particularly good at is shoes, glorious shoes.Take these Unicorn flats, for example. Even though they have a sparkly horn (!), these pastel coloured slip-ons are subtle enough to wear anywhere. I find ASOS shoes super comfortable, so I would imagine these would be no different.
Speaking of shoes, these fruity beauties caught my eye this week. They are on the pricey side, but don’t be too bitter, as they would be such a playful accessory for a Summer wedding, especially as they also do a matching bag. Anthropologie, we are really sweet on you. Zesty!
Last but certainly not least is this hat from Kate Spade. I say hat, it’s actually a cloche, which makes it even better. Who doesn’t want to take a cute cloche on their holidays? This cloche does not lie, I do need a vacation, but until then I’ll be more than happy sitting on my balcony in a bikini and this hat. With a jumper, blanket and cup of tea as well of course, because England.
Hello and welcome to the 30th Accessories to Murder! Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories? Excellent. Before we crack on, just a heads up, this particular Accessories to Murder contains a sponsored link but please be assured we only feature the accessories we consider tip top! Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
Honey, could this sun hat bee any cuter? I don’t think so! And hive fives all round for that incredible name. Modcloth are the ultimate product naming champions, which just makes me love them even more. If you love them too, you need to buy this hat, but also check out our guest blogger Holly’s awesome post about their Modcloth IRL Tour this Summer.
Oh hello there you incredibly jazzy little two-tone gem. This Topshop bag is all kinds of zig-a-zag-ah. Now I’m not quite sure what that means, but Mel B once told me it was a good thing. The contrasting colours of this boxy crossbody give it a really groovy 70s vibe, which just so happens to be one of my favourite fashion eras.
One thing I’ve discovered recently is that Aspire Style don’t just sell excellent dresses, oh no, they have so many great accessories too. In fact, I think I could fill a whole Accessories to Murder with their bits! For now, I have chosen my favourite item which are these glittery cat eye sunglasses in blue and gold. Purrfect! If you spot anything you fancy online, use the Aspire Style discount code SHEANDHEM for a tasty 10% discount. You are welcome.
I’m not sure, but this could this be the perfect demin jacket. It is on the pricey side compared to the other items in today’s round up, but I have been told by people older and wiser than myself that jackets are something you should invest in, so you can wear them year after year. Light denim is not for everyone, but I love it and find it a lot more versatile than the darker alternatives. Check out Paige Jeans to see the jacket’s cute embroidered back, and feel free to let me know if I’m not really cool enough to pull it off!
Hold up! Is it a bag? Is it a hat? Oh my goodness, it’s both! What a world we live in, first friendly robots that can perform heart surgery, and now bags in the shape of hats. Whatever next? Anyway, sandwiched between the two more expensive (but equally fabulous) items, I’ve popped in this novelty bag bargain. £14.69 for a bag that’s also a hat? You can do no wrong.
Speaking of which, Orla Kiely can do no wrong in my eyes. They are my all time favourites. Every London Fashion Week, it’s the Orla show that Jo and I go completely gaga over, and they never disappoint. Their clothing just gets better and better and their new collection is some of their best yet. My number one item from the collection is this flower pot cardigan. Quirky yet simple. Pretty yet practical. Never change Orla!
