En route home from the Company awards last week, we popped along to the launch of the Cath Kidston AW14 and Christmas ranges and gee-whiz was it spectacular! Regular readers and followers of our Instagram will know we are both obsessed with Cath’s quirky prints, so having a sneaky peek at the new items had us squawking with excitement! So much so that the lovely CK ladies had to keep us quiet with tea and brownies. Begrudgingly, we obliged them.
With the introduction of cute watches and on-the-go tote bags, alongside CK classics such as lively yet wearable dresses, pretty china, and numerous gifts and cosy homeware items, we really fell head over heels for the new collection. Despite the great selection on offer, we found it super easy to decide on a favourite piece, which we awarded to the delightfully colourful Townhouse Raglan cap sleeve dress, as seen in the pictures below, which will retail at £70.
Thank you for whetting our appetite (and feeding it too…), Cath!
Now we know that London Fashion Week was a couple of months ago, but we both felt that these images from Éthologie by Jasper Garvida really needed sharing. Who doesn’t want to see an (even more) stylish version of Joseph’s Technicolour Dreamcoat?!
The show was packed and the clothes were as dramatic as its opening salsa performance. The bird sound inspired tango soundtrack was rivaled only by the feline masterpiece which accompanied Orla Kiely’s AW14 show.
Here are some of our favourite pieces from the collection. Enjoy!
The star of the show on the Hema Kaul A/W14 catwalk at London Fashion Week was this absolutely beautiful 1950’s dress, with it’s stunning chiffon full skirt and it’s glorious long sleeved fitted silk top. We both fell head over heels in love with it and have been swooning over it ever since!
Hema Kaul travels the world to source materials for her designs, to create a very unique, delicate and feminine style – which we hope our photographs from the show reflect. The collection is crammed full of clinched in waists (a She and Hem favourite), which created such pretty silhouettes along the catwalk.
You will probably not be surprised to discover that our favourite show at this year’s London Fashion Week was the Orla Kiely Autumn Winter presentation, held at the imposing yet impressive Central Saint Martins Building.
