Hello dress fans! It’s time for a bit of Double Thumbs festive fun (and some cats). So, without further ado, I present to you the seasonal numbers that we consider worthy of the highly coveted Double Thumbs seal of approval. No turkeys here, just crackers!

Well a girl can dream, can’t she? How absolutely stunning is this candy cane print dress from Oh My Honey? It’s the stuff that Christmas dress dreams are made of. There’s beautiful gold organza all over the shop with a perfect sparkly candy cane print to set it off. How perfect would this be for a Christmas wedding? *sigh*. I want to twirl around in it SO MUCH.

Back to reality and perhaps I will have to settle for dressing like an actual candy cane instead, with this delightful red striped (in deep wine and blush, red shades fans) fit and flare frock from Dickins and Jones. I do enjoy the contrasting stripes and I find Dickins and Jones always do flattering cuts.

You’ve got to be kitten me Topshop, this isn’t remotely festive! But hey, I’m not going to miss out a dress that’s festooned with cats purely because it’s December now am I? It just wouldn’t be right! I really love this playful shirt dress (and not just because of the cats) and am already looking forward to counting my post-Christmas chocolate coins in the hopes I’ll be able to buy it.

Emily and Fin always know how to do a perfect print and this delightful falling snowflake affair is really ticking all of my winter dress boxes. I’m really digging the new forties shape, which has gorgeous sleeves and, most importantly, is relaxed at the waist – perfect for eating your way through that second helping of Christmas pudding! The teal colour is simply gorgeous and those falling snowflakes are just dreamy.

It’s not often I decide to show the back of a dress but holy moly WHAT. A. BOW. I can’t really cope with it. It’s simply the best bow I have ever seen and I’ve seen a lot of bows let me tell you. It’s also in the most Christmassy shade of red possible meaning you are basically dressed as a Christmas present. What a treat! It’s currently on sale at Coast but only in limited in sizes, however it’s also available in more sizes (but for £135) at House of Fraser.

This ASOS dress is seriously bringing the party! Look at those sleeves! You could comfortably fit a selection box or two up them and be the most popular girl in town. Not to mention that it’s made out of a gold glitter-embellished fabric, making it pretty dazzling! As Craig Revel-Horwood might say, “Gawwwwwwjus”.

I’ve seen this showstopper of a dress a few times on Twitter/Instagram and was so surprised to discover that it’s from the high-street! Take a bow, Warehouse for creating this absolute stunner. There’s just so much detail with beautiful sheer woven fabric that has a multi-colour floral embellishment and sequin details. It would make the perfect Christmas party dress but, thanks to being blue, you could easily crack this one out any time of year – not that I’m trying to justify the spend or anything *cough*.

I’m starting to feel like a one woman Lindy Bop fan-club but seriously, they are so good! (I included a skirt of theirs in our November Favourites video which you should totally watch – subtle plug). The drinks will literally be on you in this super flattering swing dress which has the most super fun cocktail print. Isn’t it fab? Cheers!

And last but not least is this new floral print from Cath Kidston! CK have not answered my wish for their super cute Christmas print to be turned into a dress, a missed opportunity I feel! The closest I could find is PJ bottoms, if you’re interested in that sort of thing (I know I am). However, this dress does contain both red and green so I am going to consider it to be a festive effort.
Have you found the perfect festive frock? Let me know!
