Hello hello! Welcome back to Double Thumbs Dresses, our roundup of the frocks we have deemed worthy of the highly coveted double thumbs seal of approval! Let’s crack on…

ASOS added a whole host of beautiful occasion frocks to their website this week as part of their Salon collection. It’s basically just my dream come true with pretty pinks, sparkles, lace and tulle all begging to be worn! It’s all just so girly and pretty! Swoon. I need to find several weddings/proms/supermarket openings to attend! I might just have to buy one but I’ve watched all the catwalk videos and I really can’t pick a favourite. First world problems etc.

I had not heard of Braintree before I stumbled across this dress on the House of Fraser website but my novelty print-o-meter was mighty pleased to discover them! This Parisian print is a true delight with the Moulin Rouge windmill and French cafes surrounded by pretty trees, lamposts and bridges. The shirt dress style is also rather nifty thanks to that full skirt and adjustable tie.

I am loving the vibrant coral colour of this boat print shift dress from Anthropologie. The cut looks ever so flattering and it has pockets! It’s a miracle.

I am flower potty for this new Cath Kidston dress! It’s so so pretty with a lovely spring floral print (plus pots!). The pastel pink colour is a welcome change to the many darker shades I seem to have picked up from CK of late and that adorable white broderie collar is just lovely!

Back to ASOS to finish us off with this aptly named (because it was exactly what it made me think of) picnic dress! This frock is crying out for a big boater hat and a wicker hamper. And an actual picnic with actual friends.
