Hello and welcome to the 33rd Accessories to Murder! It’s sale time! Are you ready to delve into the world of amazing accessories? Excellent! Even better, today is a sale special, and who doesn’t love a cheeky Summer sale? Without further ado, here are the accessories that have made it onto this week’s She and Hem’s Most Wanted.
This Bee bag has created quite a buzz in the fashion world, fashionistas have been swarming to their local Kate Spade stores to pick one up. Good things come to those who wait and this smiley chap is now in the sale via Norstrom. FYI, the ‘Beehive – Oh Honey‘ bag is also reduced. Which do you prefer?
Our BFF and guest blogger Ellie has the top pair of floral Cath Kidston trainers and every time she wears them, she receives so many compliments everywhere she goes! I absolutely loved the cloud print pair that came out at the same time, but they sold out straight away and have never come back into stock. Luckily, these two pairs are back and in the sale, so jog on over there to add these to your kit bag.
Mums know best, and both of ours have always told us that Radley are pretty special. There are tons of bags in the sale at the moment and it took me quite a while to whittle it down to my two favourites. We are both big fans of anything that features a swimmer print here at She and Hem so I just had to include the gorgeous Lido Zip Tote. It wasn’t until I’d been swooning over it for about 10 minutes that I realised it actually features synchronized swimming dogs! Woof! The monochrome backpack is designed by Jonathan Saunders and is as versatile as it is jazzy.
I thought it was my fashion duty to find you dear readers a cheaper alternative to the Kate Spade straw hat from last week, which was a mighty £105, and boy did I manage to find one. This H&M straw hat is an absolutely steal at £3.99. What are you wheat-ing for? Snap it up before they raise the price tag!
These colourful Ted Baker houses remind me of Bristol, so I’m obviously a big fan of this phone case. The pastel colours are striking and pretty, without being too garish. Embrace your inner architect and treat your phone to this little gem today!
If you are anything like me then you’ll like to have different bags for different occasions depending on what you need to take along with you. For instance, I’m not going to take my Zatchel or rucksack (seen here and here) for a meal out, but they would be perfect for a day trip or a night away from home.
There are some fantastic bags around at the moment, of all shapes and sizes, and lots of them just so happen to be in the sale! Such as this cute Yumi satchel below, which is half price on the House of Fraser website.
Floral Satchel, £20 (was £40), Yumi, via House of Fraser.
Another sale item, also half price, is this super cute box clutch bag from Oasis. It comes in several colours, but my favourite is the green and silver beauty. It is really small, so you wouldn’t be able to fit any emergency chocolate in there, but there will be room for your purse, phone and a cheeky picture of Ryan Gosling.
Box Clutch Bag, £15 (was £30), Oasis.
If you are looking for something slightly bigger than the box clutch, maybe to use as a small day bag, I would go for this fun owl satchel. It’s a real hoot! It’s novelty without being too childish and has the all important across body strap. It’s not in the sale, but if you are a student Accessorize are offering 10% student discount for a limited time only. You can enter your details for a voucher code here.
Owl Satchel, £25, Accessorize.
Bigger still in the bag department is this foxy little number from Accessorize, who’s looking for a new home. If I hadn’t recently bought a rucksack I would snap this up, especially as it comes in my favourite accessory colour, tan, so it goes with anything and everything. It is really roomy, has lots of pockets and it quite possibly the loveliest looking rucksack I’ve ever seen.
Fox Rucksack, £32, Accessorize.
If it is a rucksack you are after, but like me you have spent all of your pennies on ice cream, here are a couple from Peacocks which are slightly cheaper. I am very pleasantly surprised by the range of bags that Peacocks has to offer at the moment, especially the rucksacks which come in several lovely patterns and colours. My mum used to drag me to Peacocks, but now I’m excited to pay a visit this weekend to see what I can find.
Last week I stumbled upon the amazing, eco-friendly Ceridwen Hazelchild Design. Designing from a little studio in the heart of the Cotswolds, Ceridwen’s designs are distinctive, unique and thoroughly charming. There are 53 items for sale in her Etsy shop, which I wholeheartededly recommend checking out, especially as it is so reasonably priced. I really cannot choose my favourite bag, as everytime I look I change my mind as they are all so fantastic! Here are my current top 3 picks.
Oh how we do love a good sale! There is nothing like the giddy thrill of bagging a bargain, especially when it’s something you have previously lusted after. With Oasis, Warehouse, Lady V London, Laura Ashley, Phase Eight, Jaeger, Dorothy Perkins, Clarks, French Connection, Yumi and Whistles all launching sales this week it has been somewhat of a tab browsing frenzy here at She and Hem HQ. We decided it would be rude not to share some of our favourite picks with you! So, sit back, grab of cup of tea and enjoy the very first installment of All Hail the Sale.

It comes to something when you are seriously considering buying jumpers in June. Sigh.
