Wahooo! It’s Friday again which means it’s time for a new Double Thumbs Dresses! But before we press ahead with this weeks’ selection of frocks deemed worthy of the highly coveted Double Thumbs seal of approval, a big THANK YOU is in order as you lovely lot have voted us into the shortlist for the UK Blog Awards. Honestly, this is the most unexpected treat for us and we are truly grateful and just the tiniest bit confused. So, seeing as we are in such a loving feelgood mood, this week’s DT will provide you with the perfect dresses for Valentine’s Day. Break out the violins and pass me the Milk Tray!
I’ve seen a lot of bloggers raving about this new heart print smock from Vintage Style Me and it’s not difficult to see why! It’s a fabulously pretty print with a great shape. I love Lily’s playful styling too!
Speaking of lovely heart prints, this Emily and Fin Abigail dress is pastel perfection. The hearts almost look like confetti! So cute. I love their Abigail style, with full skirt and high neckline.
Valentine’s Day is probably the last day for a while you can get away with wearing a sparkly red velvet dress, so you may as well do it properly in this Miss Patina number. The back of the dress is gorgeous too, with two very lovely red bows.
You can’t be the belle of the ball without your bell sleeves on, can you? (said no one) I’m rather smitten with this white dress from Zara as it’s got a bit of a 60s vibe going on. Team it with red accessories and you are hot to trot.
It wouldn’t be a very good Valentine’s dress list if we didn’t include a basic red dress and this textured flippy one from Warehouse ticks all the right boxes. It’s made of a lovely thick material too, so it’s not only pretty, it’s practical too!
I’m really loving Ark at the moment, they have so may lovely long sleeved collar combos on their website that I quite easily get overwhelmed! This pink skater shaped dress is my latest crush, just look at that lace Peter-Pan collar!
Every lady should have a red rose for Valentine’s and if I was you I would be demanding this one! That print is ridiculously great and, as always with Lady V, the dress is a fantastic full skirted floaty 50s shape. Perfect for twirling!
Ah, another great red dress now but this one is a bit more pricey. It’s from Jaeger though so it’s totally worth the splurge if you can afford it! It’s a beautiful fit and flare style with a full volume skirt. It also has completely adorable button detailing on the back.
And last but not least is the drop dead gorgeous laser-cut lace dress from Anthropologie. Screw Valentine’s day. I’d get married in this.
