J: Happy #worldbreastfeedingweek week! I’m so proud of my breastfeeding journey with both girls, it has been truly magical, but I also feel strongly that fed is best and to all those who can’t breastfeed or simply don’t want to, you’re bloody amazing too!
I don’t really have any photos of me feeding Poppy so I’m so grateful to @kittyclarkphotography for capturing these photos of Hattie and I. It’s bonkers that I don’t have more images of something that has been a major part of our family life for over 3 and a half years now.
It hasn’t always been picture perfect though. I struggled hard both times and nearly gave up, especially with Poppy. I know I felt so much pressure to carry on and I remember thinking 6 months exclusive feeding seemed completely ridiculous! Then, whilst sobbing to my Mum, she told me that I was, infact, formula fed and that she had stopped nursing early on. I had absolutely no idea that I hadn’t been breastfed, but why would I? No Dr has ever enquired, I’ve never had to put it on a form, no employer has ever queried. Weirdly enough, it’s not on my CV. That’s when I realised that ultimately it didn’t matter how I fed my baby, as long as everyone was happy.
As it turned out, I ended up with two brilliant feeders and I feel incredibly lucky to have had that special time with them. It’s been the hardest and best thing I have ever done ❤️ #hattieautumn #photographersforwbw

We spent the morning in my parent’s garden which was so nice and then this afternoon, for the first time since lockdown, we had friends over to sit in ours. I cannot tell you how nice it was! J: We had such a lovely day today ❤️ We booked tickets to visit the beautiful gardens at @yeovalley and goodness me they are so beautiful. I think we all found exploring them quite magical! There’s something very Alice in Wonderland about them with high hedges, giant seats and of course the stunning flowers. I highly recommend going if you can. We were met at the entrance and told all the measures they had put in place to keep guests safe and then we had two hours to explore. There’s so much to see that there really was no worry about bumping into anyone!
The lovely florist got talking to Poppy about her love of flowers and how she wants to be a florist herself when she grows up! When we left P was presented with her own bunch of sweet peas to take home. J: Nine months in, Nine months out ❤️🥳 Victoria asked me earlier in the week which had gone faster and the answer is definitely nine months out! My pregnancy was hard and incredibly stressful but Hattie is just the most gorgeous happy bundle of joy. We love her so much ❤️ The final photo was taken a few hours before she was born.
