Around this time last year we picked our favourite colourful tea dresses from Love Ur Look, and they went down a storm. This year, if you can believe it, things have only gone and got even more colourful! Even though we’ve gone with a similar tea dress style, this isn’t a case of same old, same old, as we’ve doubled down on the fun factor with these two beauties. Both dresses look exceptionally pretty with their tie waists and cute sleeves, and they are so flattering that they even do an excellent job of hiding our ever growing baby bumps! Neither are maternity dresses, but that doesn’t hold us back when we see an fabulous frock. We both tend to size up when the dress has a relatively loose fit and it always seems to do the trick, as there was plenty of room for the babies and the huge afternoon tea we ate after the shoot (see here)!
I (Victoria) was blown away with the 1950’s Doris Door Dress*, because it reminds me of all the glorious doors in my Bristol neighbourhood, so much so that I now refer to this as my “Bristol Door Dress”. Hopefully Love Ur Look won’t mind. I’ve only worn it once, but it had so many compliments that I’ve decided save it to wear to a wedding next weekend. I absolutely love the wide neck and big yellow buttons, it’s just so blooming fun! Jo’s equally excellent Pink Candy Print Dress* features cupcakes, donuts, milkshakes and more. Just when you think it couldn’t get any sweeter, you notice the special touches like the yellow rim, giant green buttons and charming cap sleeves. And that’s not even the best Love Ur Look news! Since we shot these pictures, both dresses have gone into the sale. Hooray! It’s especailly good news as I’ve fallen for this Green Apple Shirt Dress. Core blimey. Hopefully I’ll pip everyone else to getting hold of that!
